The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), one of the premier franchise tournaments globally, kicks off its 10th edition starting from 27th October till 1st December 2024.
This year introduces a new format, reducing the total number of matches from 59 to 43, aligning it with the men’s competition.
WBBL 2024 Live Streaming and Broadcasting Rights

WBBL 2024 Schedule
This year marks a decade of the tournament, and Cricket Australia has revealed a new format. Each team will compete in 10 matches during the group stage, facing three other teams twice.
The top four teams will advance to the knockout stage, with the first team securing a spot in the final. The teams finishing third and fourth will meet in the Knockout match on 27 November.
The winner of that match will move on to the Challenger on 29 November, where they will face the second-placed team for a chance to compete in the final on 1 December.
The tournament has been shortened from seven weeks to five, aiming to attract more overseas players.
