Match Preview
After loosing from Afghanistan, England is officially out from the champions trophy, while the fate of South Africa is in the England’s hand. The match between South Africa and Australia ended up in no result and both teams had to share one point each.
Similarly in today’s match between Afghanistan and Australia, rain has interrupted the match resulting in giving 1 point to Afghanistan and Australia. Australia has qualified for the Semi finals as they have already defeated England in there opening match.
South Africa and Afghanistan on the other hand share same points which means today’s match will decide weather its gonna be Afghanistan or Africa for the second semi-finalist team. South Africa has a better run rate resulting they are favorite to reach the semi’s.
Despite having several strengths, South Africa was unable to reach the final of the recent tri-series, losing a crucial match to Pakistan, which serves as a painful reminder of past failures.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that they haven’t played together since their ODI series against Afghanistan, which they also lost. Many of these players are coming off a T20 league and lack the necessary experience in ODI match situations.
